ENT Services

Comprehensive care for our patients is provided by our four board-certified ENT surgeons, our doctors of audiology, and an incredible team of medical assistants and administrative support. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat diseases and disorders and have extensive experience in the treatment of head and neck cancer, surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid disease, allergies, and sinus problems.

We do not require a referral to schedule an appointment; however, a referral may be required by your insurance company.

Upon arrival at a Midwest Ear, Nose, and Throat office location you will be greeted by our friendly staff. The visit will begin with "check in.” During the check in process demographic and insurance information will be collected. There will be a private consultation and examination with a physician. Any necessary testing will be completed at that time or scheduled for a future date. Discussion will take place regarding the medical issue, diagnosis, and treatment options available. During this time any questions that you may have will be addressed. The check in process mentioned above can be expedited by filling out the "new patient forms” prior to your arrival.

Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that can lead to dizzy spells (vertigo) and hearing loss. In most cases, Meniere's disease affects only one ear. Meniere's disease can occur at any age, but it usually starts between young and middle-aged adulthood. It is considered a chronic condition, but various treatments can help relieve symptoms and minimize the long-term impact on your life.

Chronic Sinusitis

This condition inhibits the nasal passages from draining due to the swollenness of the nasal passages, causing a buildup of mucus in the nasal cavities. The condition stems from acute sinusitis. Sinus surgery is performed to open the sinuses and expand the airway in order to treat sinus conditions, such as nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, and nasal polyp. Our physicians may utilize the latest technology, including fiber optic telescopes, CT scan imaging, and allergy testing, to assist in the diagnosis of the problem and your treatment planning.

Nasal Obstruction & Sinus Surgery

Nasal obstruction is the partial or complete blockage of the breathing airway in the nasal cavity. This can be uncomfortable, as it forces you to breathe through your mouth and makes daily functions, such as eating or exercising, more difficult. Sinus surgery is performed to open the sinuses and expand the airway in order to treat sinus conditions, such as nasal obstruction, chronic sinusitis, and nasal polyp. Our physicians may utilize the latest technology, including fiber optic telescopes, CT scan imaging, and allergy testing, to assist in the diagnosis of the problem and your treatment planning.

Sore Throat & Cough

Laryngopharyngeal Reflux

Laryngopharyngeal reflux is a condition in which the stomach acid goes completely through the esophagus, past the top sphincter, and into the throat. To treat this condition, a physical examination, evaluation of symptoms, and medical history may be necessary, and if needed, an endoscopy procedure. A laryngopharyngeal reflux diet may also be recommended, which consists of eating smaller portions of food and drink more frequently throughout the day.

Tonsil & Adenoid Problems

The tonsils and adenoids cause frequent problems during childhood. The tonsils and adenoids can frequently become infected, causing fever, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and ear pain. Additionally, large tonsils and adenoids can cause obstruction of sleep with snoring, pauses followed by gasping for air, and daytime tiredness. When a child suffers with frequent infections of the tonsils or obstructive sleep apnea, removing the tonsils and adenoids (tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy) can be beneficial. Our physicians have a great deal of experience with this procedure.

Voice and Swallowing Disorders

Hoarseness and difficulty swallowing are extremely common problems that can occur for a variety of reasons. Our physicians are well trained in the evaluation and treatment of speech and swallowing disorders, including hoarseness, vocal cord dysfunction, vocal cord nodules, and vocal cord paralysis. Fiber optic laryngoscopy is available to assist in the examination and diagnosis. When necessary, our physicians work closely with radiologists and speech therapists for further testing and treatment of these issues.

Sleep Apnea & Snoring

Snoring and sleep apnea are extremely common problems affecting millions of Americans.
