Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery in Evansville, Indiana, is looking for a motivated audiologist to join our team in providing audiologic support in a privately owned ENT practice. We have satellite offices in Vincennes, IN, Tell City, IN, and Henderson, KY. Weekly travel to one or more of these offices may be required with a company car provided for transportation.
Our team provides audiological support for three ENT physicians and one physician’s assistant. The Hearing Center at our Evansville location provides our team a separate check-in and waiting area, along with individual audiologist offices and a common workspace for hearing aid repairs. We have a receptionist who fields phone calls and handles our scheduling, as well as an audiology assistant who provides clerical support to each audiologist. Each audiologist’s schedule is divided for approximately 50% diagnostics and 50% hearing aid time.
Competitive salary based on experience, which includes benefits such as PTO, individual and family health insurance plans, and compensation for professional development and membership dues. All offices are equipped with updated and computer-integrated audiometric and fitting equipment.
Job Duties include the following:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic audiological testing
- Perform middle ear analysis using tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing
- Perform vestibular testing, including VNG and CDP (training provided)
- Perform electrophysiology testing, including ABR, VEMP, and EcoG (training provided)
- Enter appropriate CPT and diagnostic codes within EMR
- Counsel patients regarding the use of hearing aids, including benefits and limitations, various technologies, styles, monaural versus binaural (treatment options include Phonak Lyric and osseointegrated devices)
- Conduct hearing aid demonstrations, orientations of new products, and hearing aid fittings utilizing real-ear verification
- Provide ongoing hearing aid follow-up care and counseling to patients, including minor hearing aid repairs
- Maintain appropriate records within CounselEAR and ModMed
- Review daily schedules and work with staff to prepare for upcoming appointments
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA rules and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Qualifications
- Doctoral or master’s degree in audiology
- Eligibility for IN/KY state license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology preferred

Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery is looking for a Medical Insurance Billing and Coding specialist to join our Evansville practice.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Review and analyze patient medical records to extract relevant information for coding purposes.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 for diagnoses and procedures based on established guidelines.
- Ensure accurate billing by verifying codes against documentation and resolving discrepancies.
- Process medical claims for insurance reimbursement, including follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations, billing practices, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding requirements.
- Assist in the management of medical collections as needed to ensure timely payments.
- Utilize various medical billing systems to input data accurately and efficiently.
- Post charges for Evansville, Vincennes, Tell City, and Henderson (on occasion) for four physicians. This includes claims from office visits and creating claim bills for surgeries and hospital consultations. Billing for self-pay that may involve facial plastic or hearing aid patients or various charges of supplies or self-pay services charged.
- Scrub claim charges for unspecified diagnosis codes, verifying dictation supports charges, and making sure insurance is active.
- Post surgeries and consultations require gathering operative reports, consults from hospital websites prior to posting.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management, coding systems (ICD-10), DRG, and medical collection processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to billing practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to ensure accuracy in coding and billing.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
- Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent) is preferred but not required.

Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team at our Vincennes location. This is a full-time Monday through Friday position. Duties include answering phones and scheduling appointments, greeting patients, checking patients in and out for appointments, data entry and running nightly reports, entering and calling referrals, maintaining front desk and reception area, and additional duties as assigned.
Previous front office or customer service experience preferred. Experience with medical terminology recommended. Applicant must pay attention to detail, be able to multitask, be a team player, and have good interpersonal skills.
***Interview and Training process will take place in the Evansville office at 1401 Professional Blvd, Evansville, IN 47714. Training will be Monday through Friday 8:00am (CDT) to 3:00pm (CDT) for 7-14 days.***
